What Teleplex is
Teleplex is a video player that runs in your browser. You connect your own Telegram bot, and Teleplex lets you play and download the files that are sent to that bot or posted in channels where it's an admin.
Files travel directly from Telegram's servers to your browser. They never pass through or get stored on any Teleplex server.
What Teleplex doesn't do
- It doesn't host, upload, store or index any files.
- It has no shared library or catalogue, and no search across other people's files. Each person only sees files from their own bot.
- It doesn't provide, recommend or link to any content.
Your responsibilities
- Only play or download files you have the right to access. You're responsible for the files your bot receives and for what you do with them.
- Don't use Teleplex to infringe copyright or other rights, or to break the law where you live.
- Follow Telegram's Terms of Service and Bot Developer Terms, which apply to your bot and your Telegram account.
- Keep your bot token private. Anyone who has it can control your bot.
If you believe content is being shared through Telegram without permission, report it to Telegram, which hosts the files. Teleplex has no copy to remove.
What's stored, and where
Everything Teleplex keeps is stored only in your browser, on your device:
- Your bot token, API ID and API Hash, and the Telegram login session
- The list of files your bot has received, and their preview images
- Your watch progress and settings (sort, filter, notifications, movie info, chat names, file names)
- Film and series details fetched from TMDB, so each title is looked up only once
Anyone who can use your browser profile can read this data. Sign out deletes all of it. Clearing your browser's site data does the same.
What's sent, and to whom
- Telegram: your browser connects to Telegram directly to log in as your bot and download files.
- TMDB (The Movie Database): when Movie info is on, the cleaned title and year of your films and series (for example "Fight For My Way 2017") are sent to TMDB to fetch posters, plots and episode names. File names, chats and anything else stay in your browser. Turn Movie info off in the menu to stop this.
- mclo.gs: only if you press Share log. The log is uploaded with tokens and keys removed, and anyone with the link can read it.
- Cloudflare: the site's own files are served by Cloudflare Pages, which, like any web host, may keep standard request logs such as IP addresses.
Teleplex uses no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no cookies and no accounts.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
No warranty
Teleplex is provided as is, without any warranty. It may stop working if Telegram changes how bots or downloads work. Teleplex isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Telegram.
